On the evening before Kingsday, first celebrations start on the streets, with street festivals and performances throughout the Amsterdam. The free market on the streets usually starts very early in the morning. Koningsdag usually gets really started around 12 in the afternoon (depends on the weather). Most bars are open all day long and sell beer outside.
