Pls Edgar, dont put us anymore in a club which has too few toilets, no airco, too small and a bad soundsystem. Dansen bij Jansen must be onetime-only visit.
Rapido is a great party! You can go to different areas so you can escape the crowd on the main dancefloor. Everybody is there, so you will se a lot of hot guys. People who are complaining cant entertain themselves I guess. When you're there you are part of the party, so have fun instead of looking frustrated LOL.
It was my first time to Rapido this past Gay Pride and after living here in AMS for 4 years and hearing so much about it I finally went. It was nothing like I had expected. I went in thinking it would be all muscle mary's completely G'd out and holding each other up (read: dancing) but it was actually a great mixture of guys of all types having solid fun. I also went thinking the music would be the typical Circuit sound with screaming diva vocals belting about how fierce she is (I love seeing macho guys dance to this kind of music) but was pleasantly surprised by how technical and interesting Fabio White and Gianni Cappai kept the music. They did play like 1 or 2 songs each that went into what I call the "cheese factory" but otherwise they kept the music underground and fun! It was a added treat to see them having fun playing for each other as well as the crowd.
The Paradiso is a great venue and Rapido is prefect there. It was a bit busy but if you went to the stairs or in the main hallway there was more than enough room to move around. My one thing negative to say would be that: though the shows were (moderately) good the preparations for it could be done with a little more style. It was disheartening to me to see 1 guy on an empty stage sweeping it alone by himself and then waiting on it while the act took a rather long time getting on stage.
But overall, Rapido has one me over and honestly all the haters on here are simply haters. This is a good event and well worth many visits if you are looking to dance and enjoy yourself!
After I went to 2 editions in 2004 and 2005 I went to the Gay Pride edition on 05/08/2012. In my opinion this has become a hugely overrated party. Nothing special and not even with the most basic and important ingredient for making a good party (i.e. good music!). The main floor was full (very full, maybe even too full), but all other rooms and the balconies were quite empty. Jack Chang's music was much better than the music on the main floor but his small room was most of the time unpleasantly empty. I guess this says a lot about what kind of people enjoy going to this party. They don't really seem to care about anything apart from being at this so-called "place to be". A very unsympathetic and outdated crowd.

Everything about this place is spot-on, apart from one thing: too many people! I have stopped going because of this. What a pity, too many tickets sold making it no longer enjoyable. I regularly hear the same criticism from friends.
No Rapido around new year's celebration this year in Amsterdam??
Missed the last one due to work scedule but def. will go to the one in Barcelona at the Circuit week and the one at Halloween in October. Always a great party to go there. Chill out at the chellar is great. At the entrance you might get searched by the club security.
Always sold old so get your tickets on time. Means at least one month before the party starts. Sometimes people sell an extra ticket at the door, but do not count on it. Best party in Amsterdam if you ask me but a bit overpriced. Club Paradiso is the best venue for it, maybe that is why entries are higher then at the other events by Rapido like Funhouse.
I agree with the writer below, we never heard why DJ Peter Rauhofer didn't show up at the NJ's party. This year they will also host a party at the BCN Cicruit in August which we will attend.
Love Rapido - and if it happens when we are in Amsterdam, we always try to get the tickets in advance. Just looked at their calendar - it goes all the way into 2012 but there is nothing for around New Year Day. Is it true, no party for Rapido?

We paid big money for (amongst others) Rauhofer. Ok, he didnt show up according to your site, we 're all waiting for an explanation! Two months down the track and we're still waiting?? Sure Rapido Events claimed the "loss" at Rauhofers agency, and probably received it (as it should), but Rapido stays awefully quiet about this. Any explanation? Let alone a compensation to all the customers who paid the high price for a DJ not showing up? No, focus moved to the next party's. BAD CUSTOMER INFORMATION AND SERVICE!!!! When Matinée Amsterdam encountered sortlike problems they informed and compensated their clients, so not Rapido... :-(
Still the best party in Amsterdam. But...overpriced and after several great years on it's way back. Funhouse, also by Rapido Events, is ready to take over!
Due to New Year Party started at 5PM and I liked the fact. I was in a good mood when i arrived round about 8PM. I had to rush 'cause i didn't want to miss the moment when Peter Rauhofer took the stage. It became 9,10,11.... Nothing happened. Still Fabio White on Stage. I have nothing against him, quite the contrary. I heard him a few times before and i liked his sets. But this evening it didn't work out. No special moments in his music what you are used to. Sorry to say that but very forgettable. It was like listening to 1-never-ending track. I asked my friends if we didn't hear it before? They agreed and we all thought it's time for a change. We started making jokes that he might miss the plane or the Diva is powdering his nose. Bored of the repeat mode we decided taking a break in the entrée. Look there! A time schedule concerning the DJ's. Peter Rauhofer was supposed to play at 11pm. No further information - so we reentered the dance hall and thought it's a matter of time. When i looked up to the stage, i could not believe what i saw. Jack Chang was standing behind Fabio White and was trying to help him out with his CD's. Our first impression was confirmed. He came with his prepared set list, enough to play for 2-3 hours but no backup. His facial expression was telling everything and someone had to release him of this miserable situation. I am very disappointed by his performance. A professional DJ has to prepared for situation like this. I have no words!Later on it was time for Jack Chang. Showtime. Now it was obvious that Peter Rauhofer won't come. Mainact of the evening - NO SHOW. Meanwhile some people said that Rauhofer didn't show up and that he is not answering his phone. I don't know the reason but it is disrespectful that he don't need the feel to apologize or to explain. But even Rapido didn't inform the crowd. The organizer could have at leased informed the people with a printout. But Nothing! And i'm sure we won't get to know why he didn't appear or what happened. In the hope that people forget...I know that many dutch people don't care who plays or didn't even recognize that Rauhofer didn't show up - as long as enough men show up. But there a few people who care! Jack Chang has a few nice sets in his podcast which i liked before.I think he has the capability beeing a good DJ even he couldn't show it on this evening. Very commercial music and old mixes. I like vocals but you don't need to hear it in every song. Nice Job but not marvelous. Common' guys hearing Kesha's TikTok at a Circuit Party? Not the right place. Nevertheless he saved the Party from a disaster!
Although the no-show from guest DJ-Peter Rauhofer, Rapido NY last time i found still considerably good, thanks to DJ Fabio White who saved the night! However, I was a bit upset the fact the DJ Jack Chang changed Fabio and played all the top 40 remix shit! I really didn't expect Rapido would play such commercial remix songs non-stop, from 1am till 5am. I could tolerate once or twice. But the whole time? especially at sometime that night i heard, "Johnny, la gente es ta muy loca" ... WTF!! Then i just walked away and went to the after :-
Jack Chang was amazing. Pleaze let him play again next time on the main dancefloor.
How can somebody say that Fabio White is good..... is he really a DJ?????????????? Supposed to play for 3 hours (with his prepared song list) but had to play EXTRA 2 hours and he just f*cked up everything... people ware looking at him because the music was so horrible and obviously he was dying in the Dj booth.Yes.... Jack.... Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... AMAZING JOB... never in my life I expected for you to do what you did it....... simple make the people to listen to your set till the end (MIUCH BETTER THAN GIANGI CAPPAI).Happy new year to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
