Expect audience participation, camp humour, and long nights that run into the early hours. Like Ricky’s, Sparkles attracts a mixed clientele but remains firmly anchored in the gay scene.

For something later and more gay-focused, Coco Loco is the spot. It runs later into the night, with drag and variety shows that appeal more directly to a gay audience. The atmosphere is more club-like, with louder music and a crowd that stays on after the shows finish.

At the other end of the scale, Center Stage is a tiny bar dedicated to musicals and show tunes. Screens play clips, sing-alongs happen spontaneously, and the vibe is intimate. It’s not about big productions but about theatre lovers sharing a drink and a soundtrack.

Together, these bars add variety to Yumbo nights. They’re social, fun, and very different from the cruising bars or dance clubs upstairs. For travelers, the cabaret circuit offers a lighter, campier way to dive into the Gran Canaria nightlife.
