Fort Lauderdale is a very big city / area. It's located about 40 minute drive from Miami, and has a larger gay scene. It has several really large gay bars, and also some popular cruise clubs. Fort Lauderdale is also a big cruise port. Some Atlantis and RSVP gay cruises depart from Port Everglades. If you are doing one of these popular gay cruises, add a few days in Fort Lauderdale or Miami South Beach.

Fort Lauderdale has quite some gay men only resorts. Most of them are located near the (gay) beach. From the beach to the gay bars is about 4km.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is located 40km north of Miami South Beach. You can drive between those cities in about half an hour.
Fort Lauderdale has got a quite large gay scene, with some very large gay bars. Most of them are situated close to each other in Wilton Manors.

Fort Lauderdale gay bars and clubs
The Gay beach is located at the end of Sebastian St. The beach is not very spectacular. Behind the gay beach are big buildings, and they steal the sun already early in the afternoon. Many guys seem to prefer to relax at the pool of their (gay) resort during the day instead of going to this beach.
The classic combination when visiting Fort Lauderdale is to rent a car and drive to Miami, Key West or Orlando.
But why not think out of the box? FLL is a main international airport, and within a few hours flight you are in Panama, Puerto Rico or Costa Rica.
