If you are traveling to Buenos Aires for Gay Pride, I think you should read this article that hits the nail firmly on the head. The march is not all that and a bag of chips, but the parties and nightlife are terrific, go to the parade avoid the politicking and get out clubbing the whole weekend:
BA is the gay mecca in Latin America. The main Pride Parade is held in the streets of downtown Buenos Aires usually on the first Saturday of November, to celebrate the formation of the first-ever gay group in Buenos Aires in 1969. Last year, almost 250.000 people celebrate this huge parade in Buenos Aires.
The Buenos Aires LGBT Pride starts at 3pm with the "Pride Fair", and at 6pm the pride is ready to go to the Congress Palace of Argentina. Its all about 3 hours walking and dancing. After that, the main stage is in Plaza Congreso, where music bands and artists starts their shows. Also the LGBT Pride of Buenos Aires has important political speeches, you can hear them at the begging and the end of the Pride.
