Prague Gay Pride turns the city’s postcard setting into a week of colour, concerts, and late nights. The crowd is mixed but with a strong gay male presence, plus friends from across Europe. The mood is relaxed, social, and a little cheeky.
The festival centres on Pride Village, usually set along the river or in a central park. Expect community stalls, DJ sets, food trucks, and afternoon beers in the sun. Talks, films, and cultural events fill the daytime programme for those who like more than just bar-hopping.
Parade day brings it all together. Floats roll past historic buildings, rainbow flags lean over cobbled streets, and tourists stop for photos. The march ends in a park party with live acts and plenty of space to stretch out on the grass.
Nightlife taps into Prague’s club scene. Gay bars and mixed venues throw special events, from drag shows to after-parties that run until daylight brushes the castle. Drinks are still relatively affordable, which helps.
Between events, you can sneak in classic sightseeing: Charles Bridge at dawn, the castle hill at sunset, or a quiet café in the Old Town. Just leave time for a disco nap. Pride nights run late.
