Atame is located near other fun Barcelona bars in Gaixample. Dietrich and Dacksy are just steps away. Atame is more lively than both other bars, and the crowd seemed to be more energetic. Good drinks, cute bartenders, fun music and a nice overall atomosphere. It is what a small bar should be -- nice looking clientele, well lit, reasonably priced cocktails.
There is an area toward the rear that had a pool table or something like that... but by the time you get back that far, you have probably met someone (both locals and tourists) who will sufficiently distract you from playing. It's a nice space, best to arrive before you set out for other clubs such as Metro, D-boy, or the Arenas (Madre or Classic).
Definately worth a stop. Don't forget to pick up the various invitations and guides near the front door.
