DJ Station is Bangkok’s classic gay dance club and the anchor of Silom Soi 2.
Most nights start gently. Guys drift in from nearby Silom Soi 4 bars, grab their first drink and claim a spot near the stage. Around eleven the drag show kicks off, with tight choreography, pop hits and plenty of camp attitude.
Once the show ends, the club flips into full party mode. Three floors of bars and dance spaces fill fast, with mainstream pop, EDM and K-pop driving the crowd. Air-con fights with body heat, shirts come off, and the mix of Thai guys, Asian visitors and Western travelers turns the place into a packed, sweaty box.
The entry fee usually includes drink coupons, and service is fast if you stick near one bar. Dress codes are relaxed but closed shoes are expected. Bring cash, a light outfit and a bit of patience for the queue at peak time.
DJ Station works best if you like dense crowds and high energy rather than subtle cruising. Come with friends, or arrive early and meet some at the bar. For many gay men, a Bangkok night out still feels unfinished without at least one late, loud lap around this dance floor.
