i visited last nov 2014, nothing spectacular, if anything, going through 4 floors - up and down, even if there is a lift, annoys me! and it is obvious (they are just being polite) they do not really like tourists, so i got that - i was gone in 30 min. flat, as some reviewer mentioned - this is for locals - i say let them have it,
Alexander Sauna in Athens is a huge and popular gay sauna on 4 different floors. It also has it's own special relax garden.
A variety of daily theme nights: Partners Day on Monday, Bear's Nights on Tuesday, Under- Swim- and Sportswear for boys up to 30 y on Wednesday. For the theme party a special area is reserved and guarded by a door man.
Busy, cruise, popular amongst local youngsters because of the little entrance fee they pay (only 7 euro). This sauna is nothing compared to other European sauna's (like the ones in Germany, UK, the Netherlands and Switzerland for example) - but foor Greek standards it is ok. It is clean, slippers are handed out to you at the door and first timers get a tour from the friendly staff (but they have to as the infrastructure is poor and the place in general is very dark and feels like a labarinth) - you would never find the lockers on your own, if the staff did not show you where they are).
