I almost feel like this should be a warning. The Eagle has really changed. I would say that it is the "butch" version of Woodies. Terrible unfriendly attitude, even from the people who work there. It is beyond clique oriented with nothing but impenetrable groups of gays dressed in "butch" gear, rather a queenie and immature crowd. Went to their "Sin" event. Absolutely a waste of time. No evidence of Sinful activity there unless you might be referring to screaming frolicking queens in leather who will push you out of the way when they want to get by. The posters for the event are misleading to say the least. You might have fun IF you look like and act like the cool kids on the block. True confident masculinity does not exist there and probably is a deterrent and looked down upon. There was a time when you could just be yourself, walk in without a cover charge and meet guys. Usually for me, because I am one of those confident masculine guys, I would hook up with other down to earth men. Not a chance now. I don't have time for games and attitude, which is what is offered at the Eagle in abundance. Finally let me mention the line ups. The place is far too small and overcrowded. For example If you want to go to the upstairs patio it is a minimum 45 min wait. Also the cost for admission is $10.00, every Friday and Saturday night, no matter what. Also wanted to mention that I posted this review on Yelp and they censor reviews in favor of the establishment. I won't post there again.
