Reviews on XXL London
This has become the reliable go-to big club on a Saturday night. No longer just for the larger (rounder) gentlemen although they are definitely still present. It is all the rest of the gay scene too, including a good dose of the muscled-up boys too. Music is fairly light earlier, getting heavier later - more EDM now than it used to be on the main dance floor, while second dance floor still more pop. Excellent, big venue. Large darkroom for those who enjoy that aspect. Generally friendly atmosphere where the different tribes seems to coexist pretty well.
First time there yesterday 2 January 2016.
Amazing place, amazing staff, and amazing people... but
Music wise a complete disappointment!!!
You can't miss the AWFUL tracks that those "Djs" provide even more playing with CD and automatic BPM. RIDICOLOUS!!!
My advise PLEASE CHANGE QUALITY OF THE MUSIC!!! PLEASE
There are hardly any chasers :( 5 of my chub friends told me the same thing.
They should have a wristband or stickers for chubs and chasers so they can find eachother.
Currently £15 entry or £8 for members. V unpleasant security guard on door, blonde hair & a face like thunder-not a nice welcome. The club is vast with several rooms, bars & dance floors. You will certainly have plenty to look at! I preferred XXL at it's old venue, now it all feels very impersonal & harder to meet new friends. The lovely smoking area of the previous venue has gone too,now you are just stood on the street outside. The music on the main large dance floor is very unimaginative handbag-house-expect Kylie,Rihanna,Beyoncé & similar generic pop. Most guys love it but it's not for me, found it rather soulless & sterile.
Huge, many rooms, all ages, always have a blast here
