Bocas del Toro is an island on the Atlantic side of Panamá and one of the most popular beach towns in the country. It is visited by many surfer dudes and backpackers, but also has got fancy boutique hotels and quality restaurants facing the ocean.

The island has it's own small airport with connections to Panamá city, Costa Rica and other places. You can also leave your rental car in Almirante and take a water taxi to the island.

Bocas del Toro has cars on the island, the other islands next to it can only reached by boat. It's very easy to get a water taxi and explore the other islands. One of the most popular beaches is Red Frog.

On the island next to Bocas Carenero you find the popular ocean view restaurant Bibi's, and at night club AquaLounge. Water taxis go there all night when the club is open.

On Bocas itself you find many ocean view restaurants. The main club is Barco Hundido, build on wooden platforms on the Ocean side. There are no gay places, the gay guys go to these regular clubs.
