Obelisk Beach

Sorry to the nudists, but Obelisk has been recognised a cruise area for longer than most can remember, but since the Defence land was sold off and development extended, the area has become just too refined, with paid parking, board walks (to protect the bush enviroment). Regardless guys will still cruise (and play). Just be wary - rangers do patrol, not just to catch out sex activity, but also to keep Mum, Dad and the kid's on the made paths, and trampling over the native undergrowth

I agree, would all the gay websites STOP promoting Middle Head as a gay beat, and remove reference to that. Nudists fought long and hard to gain these beaches which are now under a real threat of closure to nudists. Thank you gay websites. We now have to pay for parking, police regularly patrol the beaches and bush, and Maritime Services are harrassing boaties. All designed to drive us nudists away. I repeat this area is not a gay beat, contrary to what you read on many gay websites (its wishful thinking on the part of the morons who write these guides), spend $20 and go to the many gay saunas that Sydney has to offer.

Exactly to the previous reviewer. These are clothes-optional beaches. They are not gay cruising areas and that will only get the beaches shut down to all. There are plenty of other places in Sydney for these kinds of activities. These are beautiful and unique areas. To all gay websites: please remove all mention of gay beats at Middle Head.

Thanks a lot. It is because of the gay goings (cruising) on at Obelisk that both this and Cobblers beach, that we are now being effectively closed down. Obelisk should not be a gay beach - the nudists fought for it. It's hardly nude now anyway.
