Spyce is a new trendy gay bar in Le Marais. A bit stark originally in décor they try to change it up nightly. Dancers will dance just in front of a huge LED panel behind the bar used mainly to display the name of the bar. Themed nights, although not all that successfully themed. Still running on the "trendy new-bar" reputation and starting to grow old.
Coat-check and ventilated smoke room downstairs, when it gets busy in the bar. Otherwise smoking is outside.
We had the most bisar experiance you can have in a Gay bar. The muslim bouncer INSULTED us saying we were fucking quers and when we asked for explenation he said he would "explain phisicaly" what he ment. We called the police cause Homo phobic insults are not leagal in France. When the police arrived they just asked us to forget about it and tried to minimise the problem saying that it is inpossible that a bouncer in a gay bar would say homophobic insults.Note that many gay bars employ dancers/stripers/bouncers that are not gay themselves. Conclusion: in Paris you can get insulted by homophobes regardless if they work for a gay business or not and the Police in France will not care that much. BE CAREFUL tht's all.
