Splash Bar

And who doesn't love Splash? While most NewYorkers consider this a "tourist" bar/club, if a celebrity wants to arrive in NYC and pay homage to the boys, it's usually Splash that is quick to receive them. It is a nice space [much better than the small, cramped place it used to be years ago]. $20 will get you in, and $6-8 will get you a drink. The dancefloor is tiny but seems to do the trick and the boys on the boxes never disappoint. Splash has a shower area where the hotties who work there can lather up (hence the name). Great lighting and really decent sound system keeps the place full each weekend night.

Downstairs is the legendary open bathroom (a few stalls for the ladies and guys who need a bit of privacy to do their thing). There is also a lounge area down there so you can hear the answer to whether there are any issues you should be aware of before you take him home.

While not the greatest club you will ever go to -- it always seems to be a work in progress and the seasoned locals don't really even bother -- but it is worth checking out, especially if there is something there for everyone.
