Gym Sportsbar

Open a bar in the NY "gayborhood," put a flat screen tv or two above your head suspended by chains, tune it to a sports channel, add a pool, a few wooden ledges and card tables for drinks, and a pendant or two around the interior and you have GYM Bar.

It could be a college town local bar, or a just about anything else. The point being that it has nothing special about it and not much to look at except the theme on the door and a TV with the latest baseball game on. Maybe that's the draw -- it's the only one with actual sports on serving cosmos and beer.

The crowd is basic enough -- some cuties (of course) and a lot of "regular" guys. It is difficult to see it as a "destination" but makes a casual local "let's meet up and go somewhere else" type of place.
