This place has really gone downhill in 2016 & 2017. Sunday Social used to be great until the beer prices went up several times and people started going elsewhere. Gouging the patrons just makes them go away. The guys that still go here are really clicky and snobby. If you're not from Melbourne they will stare at you and perv at you while you use the urinal but generally guys aren't that friendly. The place feels like God's waiting room. The tap beer isn't just overpriced but it tastes like either the lines haven't been cleaned in ages or there is some chemical residue on the glasses. There isn't anywhere that non smokers can go as the smoke comes in the door from the covered area. I didn't think it was legal to smoke inside but it happens here. The Laird has past it. Beer tastes bad and costs too much and the "attitude" is a little tall poppy syndrome for Jenny Craig dropouts.

The security need to be replaced. They let my off his face boyfriend in without any I.d and yet wouldn't let my friend and I in to find him because our heels were not "high enough". That's b.s. Disgusting.
Would prefer a zero star rating.

The Peel is one of the last remaining "Gay" places in Melbourne that is not a sauna. Good safe respectful place for gay men to go and have a good night out without fag hags, straights, hangers on.

The complaining review is from a women. That says it all and why the peel patrons do not want her there.

Thank god security kept her out.

There are thousands of pubs and hundreds of clubs for women and straights - go some where else Liz.

One of the best in Melbourne. Very busy on Sunday afternoons. Swimming pool, sauna, plenty of private rooms. Clean.

Nice sauna. I went on a cold rainy Sunday afternoon. It wasn't that busy but those that were there were certainly enjoying themselves. I did too. The steam room was nice with cool pulsing LCD lights. The pool is huge (you can do laps in it) and they have a little shop where you can buy toys and things. The maze upstairs is literally a maze (got lost). The place distantly reminds me of Steamworks in Chicago.

I went on a Saturday night around 9PM. I have never seen so many hot guy in one place - everyone seemed friendly and not an attitude in sight - though this is not the bar to find a twink, that's for sure. The bartenders were also friendly and smiley (and gorgeous!). I would come here every time I'm in Melbourne!

Not for the shy or faint of heart. I went 3 times and always found action downstairs in the dark room. Guys vary but they do everyone (and everyone is hot in the dark LOL). Condoms and lube provided upon check-in and you can store your valuables (and clothes!) if you want. The place is huge, great layout, something for everyone. Would love to come back when there's an event.

Good, unpretentious space with straight acting men. Has some really awesome events like Trough. Cheaper than going to a sauna and you don't have to walk around naked. Has latest release movies while you take a break.

For Melbourne, I think this place is good. I wouldn't bother going until around 1-2am, and you need to be in the mood for dancing. Music is average-good (for a gay venue). Dance/house/electro. Considering its really the only gay dedicated-dance club in melbourne there isn't much competition... Melbourne could do much better. But that being said from the times I have attended, the majority i have enjoyed myself.

Not like any other gay club. Real Guys. Real Dance Music. Real DJ's. Crazibiza and John Course (both international recognised) where playing when I attended.

Danced with this local dude for hours. Close to 1500 people there till around half 7 in the morning.

This is a club for people who like dance music, and not handbag crap. Refreshing!

music is not comparable to ARQ in Sydney, just don't make you wanna dance and they charge an 20 entre fee, and before 11:00pm they ask ppl not on VIP list to wait outside the door. The drag queen was pretending to look trendy but just faked everything. I just think they have a attitude.

Well one of Melb's longest running and greatest cruse clubs opened 7days a week would have to be a must go. pricing not to bad i think a discount for slower days is in order pvt room from $15-$25 very cleane with everything you might need.safety packs place all over the venue. Very friendly staff that Respect your Private Needs Age rage around 18-60 from Tweeks to sex pig to leather daddy's club 80 also have some of the best party's nud, gold, trough I been to all of them and still keep going back down side price on slower nights no smoking room slow computers and nasty coffee
