Accompanying friend, who last attended around 5 years ago, is highly impressed with the sauna's improvements, increased space, new black tiling throughout that is sophisticated looking and visually appealing.
Excellent sauna well worth a visit to freshen up, relax, enjoy a snack while watching TV or going online and enjoy all the other facilities of a fantastic men's health club.

Just back home with my partner from a visit to Manchester. The Basement has been newly decorated and upgraded which is a welcome surprise. The gentleman at Reception was welcoming - we paid membership and entrance fee. Facilities much improved and clients mixed. I always look forward to a sauna after a days shopping. All was grand until we looked for a cup of coffee. We waited for what seemed ages for someone to serve us at the Snack Bar. When he eventually returned to the bar after completing his cleaning of the public areas, the snack bar had no coffee and only served tea. My partner also asked for 2 snack bars and we both decided to have tea. The guy behind the bar had no change and asked my partner to go to reception and get change which he foolishly did - I wouldn't have. The guy serving waited until my partner returned with the correct change. I tried the tea which I didn't particularly like and then the snack bar. The snack bar was stale so I returned both of them to the bar to be advise aggressively that they were still in date. I said they may be in date but they are stale - he was having none of it and asked for my locker number which I refused to give - I thought we were going to be thrown out because the snack bars were stale. He was having none of it. I said they may be in date but they are stale. He still persisted and would not exchange them and stormed out from behind the bar heading for reception. I have never experienced such ill mannered threatening behaviour from someone providing hospitality. He is better off cleaning the cubicles and should not be serving the public. It spoilt the whole experience of going to the Basement. It was unusual that no one else availed of almost bare snack bar with no coffee - only tea.
