great bar/club with hilarous drag acts!! understanding a bit of spanish adds to the fun!!!

Tras 10 años asiduo a este bar, el sabado 30 de noviembre me llevé una desagradable sorpresa. Un nuevo camarero nos echó del bar de malas maneras. El motivo no pedir una consumición, teniendo en cuenta que ya habiamos realizado dos consumiciones, y que pensabamos continuar consumiendo como de costumbre. Es indignante, tengo 40 años y jamas he tenido problemas en ningún local. No tengo ganas de que me traten mal. Está claro que ha cambiado de politica en este bar.

Straight-friendly club, with a > 30 yo clientele. It's a rather welcoming atmosphere, but it is not a place to go looking for standard eye candy.

The pub's gay listing lists shows and strip shows daily. The shows are mostly stand-up comedy by the drag queens and lip-synching to songs. It's nice to get acquainted with some obviously popular Spanish songs. However, performance-wise, it wasn't really great. The strip show lasts a short while (5-10 mins), and only started close to 2am, when I went. Strangely enough, the male stripper only interacted with a girl.

The drag queens, during their talk segments, try to get the tourists to talk a little about themselves. They are good at it and elicit good laughs from the patrons. It helps with the mixing and jovial atmosphere. However, since most of it is in Spanish, you will have no idea what they are laughing about.

Buy at least a drink when you get there, or risk evil stares from the bartenders or even ejection from the venue.

Great drag bar. I'm a transsexual and visited there a number of times during my recent stay in Madrid. Picked up a guy for s*x everynight I went there. Even got up and danced on stage twice.
