"The Tank" is not for the timid. It is a fetish party but really it is several things at once: first, the entire place is one huge darkroom, but with well lit areas and a bar, and video area. Second, it is a dance club with a decent dj and a dancefloor.

For 35EUR (which is pretty steep), you essentially enter a dark space where as the night continues, fewer and fewer clothes are visible or necessary.

If the price doesn't keep out undesirables, the very strict dress-code will. You cannot enter with "regular" clothes. It MUST be either a uniform, rubber, leather or nothing at all. Globalaza, being a creature of the world, decided that "less is best" and entered "au natural." You undress and check your clothes at a small booth after you pay the entrance fee. They will NOT accept jeans (denim) -- you can't even check it in -- so don't go there in it or you may find yourself needing a taxi to go home, change and return.

The place gets crowded as the hours wear on. Men from every continent (from Colombia, South Africa, Germany, US and Japan) were present and having more than enough fun. You had leather daddies, fetish boys, twinks, jocks, expats, locals, tourists, and everything in between. Be warned, with such intensity things can get a bit messy. They allow you to wear just about any shoes (if you are naked or in uniform) so be sure to wear shoes that have a good grip and you don't mind getting dirty. As you could imagine, it can get very slippery.

In the rear, there is a bed area (similar to military barracks) for more lateral encounters. The mattresses are covered in rubber (and a very smart idea). There is an area that has what looks like cargo netting to hold on to, and to provide the illusion of privacy. You can wash up at multiple incredibly tiny (and not so clean) bathrooms which are darker than the club itself.

Peak times are from 1a.m. at 6 a.m., so rest up. If you like your clubs rough, aggressively sexy, with no pretense or inhibition, this one has just what you want and worth every cent. The best night of my entire visit to Spain!

I am from Berlin an I know well how fetish party should look like. There where enough fetish worn an guys were very hot. It is smaller than Pig or Snax in Berlin but very intensive sex wise. Very good music and a lot of sex with hot guys guaranteed, can you wish more? Absolutely place to be. Best party in Spain an one of the best in Europe. Forget boring vocal-house overpriced Infinita.

I totally disagreed with you, I have been joining many editions of this great fetish party and believe this is nothing to envy to other parties in Europe. Maybe it is time for you to have a look to other cities in Europe and check how the fetish concept is applied there in gay events.
Of course, we are not speaking here about Berlin nowadays or Amsterdam in its best past days, but Madrid gay fetish level is arising constantly and in a very conscious way. People seem to be more open-minded and really enjoy events like Into the Tank party.
Prove of that is that more and more foreigners are joining the Into the Tank party editions and it is consider a reference for many fetish gay travelers around Europe.
The dance floor is packed with people as people really enjoys the music (I think both of us will agree on the fact they have great and worldwide well-known DJs playing at these parties)
Although classical leather culture is a important reference in gay fetish world, we cannot be closed to other fetish tendencies ( which are very much appreciated also).
I don´t know in which parties have you been, but I have seen gorgeous leather uniform men, fully dressed on leather from the boots to the caps... and as far as I know, the organizers are very strict, so if you are not fully dressed in compliance with fetish codes you are not allow to go in...

BB here is not a party issue but a people´s problem of awareness and self- responsibility. Condoms are available all around (I know because I always take many with me to use them in private after the party).

The most common dress, and really the best choice would be a jock strap, swimsuit or spandex shorts, and your boots or sneakers. No more.
