The gay pide - or Orgullo in Spanish - in Madrid is one of the biggest and most popular prides in Europe. The parade is attended by 1.500.000 people every year. The street parties at Plaza Chueca attracted 300.000 people.
The Saturday of gay pride weekend features a massive parade through the city center with dozens of trucks. The parade will go from Puerta de Alcalá to Plaza de España, which is about 2 km.
Saturday night, pride goes on during an outdoor party at the park of Lago. Other massive parties include Infinamentegay (website) and of course the special Pride parties at the Madrid gay clubs.
Hotel for Madrid pride
The best place to stay is the gay area, which is in Chueca. This is in the centre of the city and next to the Gran Via. There are outdoor street parties outside the gay bars. You can also easy travel to the parties from here by metro.

NOT like: the massive, not so gay-looking crowd (COLORS people, where are the cheerfull colors)...but other then that: there are no better parties and clubs in the whole of EU then what Madrid has to offer.
