The Hoist at The Hoist

I was there recently, I'm 20 years old and the 40 year old's couldn't get enough of me. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time with the older crowd taking turns, but was absolutely exhausted the next day.

Avoid this place. I went here last week. Everything about it is horrible starting with the rude, filthy staff. The owner was out front and clearly hates his customers so why paid £15 to get in! Do you get a free drink? NO. Do you get a free coat check? NO. Is the place heated? NO. Will you be able to get a beer? NO, they had run out!

Surprised at these negative reviews. Was just there for SBN and NBN (October 2009) and it was great - terrific venue, friendly (frisky!) patrons & staff, good crowd, hot naked men, SEX. What's not to like?!

went there on a wednesday in june 09 for an undewaer night, was a complete waste men were over 40 and i believe not clean, most of then would undulge in bareback, very few men and old corwd, not worth it at all.

The Hoist website advertised a FirstFriday party for 28/December/2007 promising extra slings.

I went along, and was surprised and dismayed that they would not allow customers to bring in Crisco to the bar (you had to leave it in the coat check).

Also, if you had a small bag, they will not allow you to bring it inside even if they search it. You had to leave it at the coat check (extra price).



Inside the club, it was freezing cold. They had forgotten to pre-heat the club. It was an icebox. Some guys were naked except for boots and were shivering. It warmed up a little after a couple of hours, but not enough.

The music volume was so loud that my eardrums were close to bleeding. There was no atmosphere. The music volume prevented any normal conversation. The music style was hard techno and there was no quiet place anywhere in the club.


The two slings were empty most of the night and there was little action.

I think that this business will fail if it treats its customers in such a hostile manner.
This was undoubtably the worst run FF night I've ever seen. Absolutely clueless .
