What is it?

The Sweatbox is a new gay gym and sauna, right in the middle of all the gay nightlife: SoHo. Two subterranean levels offer low-lit and sexy hot rooms, steam rooms and a maze of inventively designed private cabins and play-spaces! Including 40 Man Steam Room with Bucket Shower, 30 Man Steam Room with Foam Cannon, a 14 Man Custom Jacuzzi and 2 Turkish-style Hot Rooms.

You do not have to be a gym user to use the sauna complex

I was there on a Wedenesday evening, ±30 people there of ages 25-45. There was a foam party that evening in a small area of the sauna (normaly steamroom?), but limited action in there.
In general not to big place and like all places it depends on the people who are there. Sauna facilities are a bit worn (1 jacuzi, 1 sauna, 1 steamroom, showers). The cruising was ok, although the private rooms are small and didn´t look that clean. The relax area was cold...

Left with a bit of mixed feelings to return sometime or never come again... probably try something else when in London again.

I was in London for six days and visited The Sweatbox four times. Firstly it is worn and could do with some refurbishment. However, the staff do keep it reasonably clean.
It appears to be busiest in the afternoons when people are leaving work. Mostly the guys are '20 or 30 Somethings'. As a 50 year old with an expanding waistline most of the guys took little notice of me. Although if you sit in the steam room or the darkroom downstairs you have a better chance of having real fun. I suppose that's because most guys cannot see what you really look like in the dark.
Although I didn't get much action in the brighter areas I did have some fun in both the rooms I have already mentioned. I was sucked by and I sucked fit, young twinks in the darkness. I know they were fit and young as I followed them into the two rooms.
If I am in London again I will definitely pay another visit.

I was a visitor from Spain. On Saturday 11AM it had just 10 guys sleeping and not looking for sex. Boring. On Saturday at 10PM they start the foam parties, which are fun and more crowded.

As for the facilities and the place itself, I thought it would look newer than it is. The mattresses/bed in the cabins are broken. Some areas are extremely cold. Tiny cabins with no proper space to f*ck. Sorry team @Sweatbox, but I choose Charriots instead. BTW, you need to leave a 5 pound deposit in every visit!

I went on a Saturday night with the foam party at 10 p.m:- The sauna is not very far away and pretty central.- Staff is ok and the decoration is very red.- In terms of cleanliness, it is ok.- Condoms are at the bar, two floors below ground (so not always practical)- There is a steam, in which you can't see a thing but fine nevertheless; a sauna that was not very hot; a jacuzzi and some cabins.- Around 10 pm, there is foam coming out in one area, it is funny but it can be slippery and watch out not to put some in your eyes.- Men are in general of all ages (mostly 30-50), but often not very fit, you like it or you hate it.- That evening there was an old guy snoring on a mattress at the bar area, plus a young guy.-> I still prefer Parisian saunas, men are better good looking.

I've never been to a sauna, what�s the etiquette? Do guys just walk around naked and shag anywhere or are there specific areas? Can you do it in the hot tub?! If you're not into a guy is it alright to say no or is it a bit of a free for all? I'm not sure I�d be able to control myself with so many hot naked guys walking around!! Would it be embarrassment if you walked around with a hard on most of the time?!!

Need Foam Party in the daytime on every Sunday afternoon for every half hours foam party from 2pm until 6pm hopeful in future. I hate once foam party then foam going down melt it need every 20-30 mins more foam fill up in the maize room.

Dirty, overpriced, bad music, no condom, no porn - simply the WORST sauna I have ever been to. Avoid!

Quite a nice place, went there a week ago on a sunday and had a good time. Met a cute Italian guy with a big dick. The only bad things were that the dark room area's were fraking cold and that some staff members have an attitude. But besides this i will come back when i visit London
