Gay nightlife in Ibiza

Gay nightlife on Ibiza is rich, lively, entertaining and hot but it requires a lot of energy....Nightlife only starts after (very late) dinner time, so be sure you won't find any crowded bar before 1 am. By that time, the two main gay areas in Ibiza Town will be crawled with a mix of muscle mary's, trendy guys and fashion queens. The main gay drags are Calle de La Virgen, down by the harbour and the terraces of Calle Alfonso XII, next to the main entrance of Dalt Villa. Here people will start the night with a drink or two, three. This is the place to meet old or new friends and to get your discount arm wrist band for one of the clubs, provided by the colourful parades of the main parties that night. Or you're even luckier, and one of the staff members will put you on the exclusive guest list... Around 3 am, most of the guys go off to one of the parties or to the only gay club in Ibiza Town, Anfora, up at Dalt Villa.

The gay beaches

The island of Ibiza has the most beautiful white beaches. But of course, you do not want to get sun burnt on a secluded strip of white sand. No, you want to be seen and sow off your tint and gym results. That's why Ibiza has a few gay beaches, where most of the people you see at night, will rest their gorgeous (or less gorgeous) bodies in the sand.

Platja des Cavallet / Playa de es Cavallet

The main gay beach is Platja Des Cavallet, at the southern tip of the island. This is a strip of sand which is most popular with the gays. The beach has no rocks, nudity is allowed, has a big gay beach club (Chiringay) with pumping dance music all day long and of course a large cruising area in the dunes behind the club. Cavallet can be reached by bus, but it is recommended to take a (hired) car or scooter or a taxi. From the parking lot you need to walk along the straight beach for 15 minutes to the southern tip. You can also take the speed boat from the Figueretas beach, which will cost you approx. 12 euros for a round trip.

Other gay beaches

Other gay beaches include Playa Salinas west of Cavallet or Los Molinos, a pebble beach just down under Dalt Villa.
