I love La demence i only wish that the music would get better like Rapido. They really need to trow out that Jon Doe who always plays between 5:30 and 8 ,the dancefloor falls always dead when he plays I cant understand that they keep holding him in the main dance area . I stayed away for many years in the past because of Jon Doe and now again i get irritated because the crowed and the place is the bestbut the nusic have to be good to . Also many people i speak on the party say always the same so why does nothing change ? But still la demence is a plus ! If you jon Doe was not playing there you got 5 stars for me but now i give 4 :)

Best Monthly Gay party in Europe. Best and most crowded location during LD Party weekends is at Fuse.

My first La Demence this Friday..! Can you tell me please if the Monday party at Fuse will be busy or is it more about the Saturday and Sunday for the birthday weekend and we will be better to come back for a regular party at Fuse venue another month?

La Démence parties are probably some of the best circuit parties around. Music is usually fantastic and the crowd hot and knows how to party. I recommend to visit La Démence once. But I warn you, youl'll certainly want to go back ;-)

the only bad thing I can say about la demence that it is highly addictive... once you pop, you cannot stop ;-)

La demence is de beste party van de Benelux. Fantastische muziek, de internationale, goede sfeer en de vriendelijke mensen. Het enige dat echt verbeterd moet worden is de verspreiding van koele lucht, misschien een betere airconditioning dus.

I was at the last La Demence party on sunday June 12th and at the end, at 12 in the afternoon, at the top of the stairs at the coat check, I met a fucking cute guy. He said I had a nice head and I said same you too. A few minutes later we saw each other again outside at an ATM machine and we said hi. Unfortunately I was too tired and wasted to make a move but I hope you will read this and contact me, cute guy.

Great Party's! But the heat is almost unbearable. Management; the time has come to invest in proper airconditioning system!

LD at June 12, was very hot and crowded. Managed to spend 9 hours dancing and chilling. Great place to party, always friendly bar staff.

@SceneBitch:
I read your text and I couldn't agree more with every aspect you discussed. You reflected THE perfect image of our beloved club "La Demence". Nobody could've told any better. Nicely done ;-)

It's the best monthly gay party in the low countries, great mixed crowd, nice staff.

Definitely the best Clubbing in Belgium as it attracts all sorts of gay men and they interact well. Sexy dudes are around you all the time which make your tongue hang out all the time for lust ;-)))

B.itchin @ La Demence (04-March-11)

Now the freezing snow is all gone, we could risk Eurostar once more, and that means La Demence is only 2 hours from Londres! Spring is coming, time once again to embrace the warmth of a European super clubbing phenomena. With Latino B.itch engaged working, then Tall B.itch was left to do all this hard work alone, oh mercy? Let’s party with my benelux buddies!

There was a bus and metro strike in Brussels which only ever so slightly delayed my arrival – with taxis being in short supply - I had heard entry can be busy from 12-1 and with only 2c that is not for me! But thankfully arriving Cinderella-like on the stroke of midnight it was straight in through the innocent looking entrance door. So no queue and no security check. With my online ticket quickly scanned in the tiny entrance hall; then through a curtain to the stairs where there was probably a ten minute cloak room queue but it was being efficiently handled by security and a lane system - to then be served by the cutest of guys – ooh what time does he get off with me? There seems to be a Belgium obsession with curtains however, the security kept closing off the queue on the stairs by closing a curtain, hoping magically when it opened again we would all have disappeared perhaps. The magic theme continued on the main staircase that had some hallucinogenic influenced mega flashing swirling light spectrum bouncing off it – jeez - is that disconcerting for navigation by drunken clubbers – kind making steps disappear and reappear!
So entering the main bar – packed tightly with a mixture of men from all over Europe – a spectrum of ages and a fair selection of different scene types with hot guys wearing leather harnesses just as likely to be dancing with a sports kit clad twinks - but generally the Rapido, Matinee, SuperMartXe, Salvation crowd – so HOT. But with some dregs throw in to show it’s an inclusive club for all. Amongst these gorgeous types were my dutch friends, can’t miss that tattoo. Grabbing a drink from a gorgeous and smiling twink at the bar we hit the packed dance floor; where we found Oliver M doing what he does best - and spinning a fair selection of funky upbeat vocal house; delivering a massive crowd pleaser inspired by the Roy Orbison classic ‘I drove all night’ and we could have danced all night to that one, except a friend who seemed to be getting sucked off all night on the dance floor!! The dance floor is a sea of throbbing bodies surrounded by a walkway/viewing platform that leads down to another bar and ‘stage; type area at the far end. This is my favourite place to see and be seen :P and the attention started immediately - oh come on boys, I’m not that easy! But why do the shortest guys come trying to dance - ah well I can’t see you down there so will just ignore you ;-) such the b.itch that I am.

We made a tour and found the 2nd level room nicely throbbing and the multi layered seating decks jammed, but jeez the stairs are again difficult to navigate in the crush of people or do I need new contact lenses! But ouch I was burnt twice by the same guy with his cigarette. Yes oh Belgium I have moaned before - but smoking inside bars and clubs is so 1990’s jeez – why are you so behind the rest of Europe – wake up and smell the coffee so we don’t have to smell the smoke! (PLEASE). There are toilets off here – again up a steep cramped staircase – jeez what is it with this building. But time to take a look at one of the features not so common in UK clubs – the darkroom – up another 2 flights of metal stairs into yes, pretty dark rooms – reminds me of navigating around an old castle – there were obviously some althletic twinks being used by everyone but also some of the dirty raincoat brigade who looked a bit out of place – but not in this dreary dungeon ;-) anyone got a torch? But enough of this tour back to the dancing but mind the glass – gosh so much broken glass about – ok eco friendly but with the amount of smashes you kind of wonder just how.

Back to the main floor, and oops we found there is actually a second toilet off the main dance floor bar – but what a steep narrow staircase – mind your head! were Belgiums originally a very skinny nation? Before that is they started on the beer and chocolate! We positioning ourselves back at the stage area in full view of the dance floor we were in for a treat with Micky Friedmann from Germany who brought back memory lane and a great track featuring sampling from Blondie – but don’t ask me which one it was – been listening to loads on YouTube but still can’t be sure - the moment has gone! But his set was back to back with some cool uplifting house and trance tracks – anyhow it made us lost in the music dancing on the front row of the ‘stage’ area at the far end of the dance floor which was packed from a scene from Alice in Wonderland with hundred of pink illuminate rabbits ears (see the pics at lademence.com). I was in bunny heaven, totally surreal and able to command a full view of the dance floor and attract as usual too much attention from the madding crowd – and what with the freakishly tall guy over 2m – yes honey – but – loose the T shirt so I can have a glimpse of what’s to come! Although I immediately caught the Gay Romeo gaze of what was to come - a slim, blonde, 1.96m twink heading straight at me.

It was with this cute guy I was then introduced to the 3rd bar – and ooh another dark room I’d not seen before – in the dark about that one! Well there was some tremendous whaling coming from the distance what sounded more like a whale birthing and apart from causing people to laugh did make us think that the hotel might be a more suitable location for our own after party rather than this dungeon or indeed Macho Sauna – and so off to create ‘carpet burns’ to match the cigarette burns – and why do bed hotel headboards always bang so noisily when it’s like 7am!
La Demence is an amazing party, one of the best on the European circuit – super hot mixed crowd, added with simple security and pleasant bar staff. The duration of the party means you don’t need an afterparty (10pm through to midday Saturday) – i.e. no jackets on trudge somewhere, queue again etc - so hassle free uninterrupted clubbing. The music is generally uplifting – just felt a little disjointed at times before it flowed perfectly in bunny heaven! The smoking is a “Belgium thing” which I am sure will cease sometime soon – surely. The venue is not the hottest, but K-nal the smart new venue they used for the birthday party had its own cloakroom fiasco so you can’t win – Fuse Club is a tried and tested formula that works well but at times makes the cramped railway arches of London seem spacious. We left early for obvious reasons and then continued way past our bedtime but will be back as its both so convenient and hot! La Demence, La Boys, La Gay, La Magnificent!

I was at the party this Friday (feb. 4, 2011). One of the best parties I have ever attended.
Good things: nice music, various dj-is music for all the taste...even comercial on the 3-rd flor, amazing horny atmosphere, very hot guys, nice outfits, open minded attitude, friendly staff and helpful, PROFESSIONALLY WARDROBE SERVICE, very nice concept, crazy, one unique experience.
Negative: way way too crowded (at 4 on the 1-st floor you could not move..)limit the number of guests somehow, way too hot- the ventilation was off?,in the darkrooms is not possible to do almost anything as it is PACKED.. cannot even move and you can get blocked also pickpockets :( (if u see cute young guys looking sober.. think two times or protect your pockets).

My opinion: nice, friendly, crazy, hot $ horny, amazing party. But sometimes it gets too crowded. Practically u cannot move-the biggest problem.

super great club great party one of the best for sure.!!!Nice sexy hot dudes.

The darkroom is far to dark too bad, if a darkroom is to dark you can be robbed. It is even more likely for you to get an sexually transmitted disease cause you can not enforce any form of safe sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its no secret that LA DEMENCE is abig favorite in the scene but the last editions have sucked due to the music... what's wrong? seems like the music never takes off and the energy lowers...pffff only a tedious house that akes the crowd lazy n bored... come on take a rest one month, stop the greed of making money easily and put more effort in getting better rythms to dance with, its worth it! cheers

My first visit to La Demence was 17 July 2009 and it was fantastic - here's an edited version of my previous review. Arriving at 01h30 to avoid any queues, the main bar and dance floor were though absolutely jammed packed with a foray of hot shirtless clubbers in a heat haze flashing up via the lighting system. And thank goodness a large spattering of handsome hunks and cute twinks were in attendance. This was a very mixed club but the very much a Matinee/Salvation/SuperMartXe type mix – i.e. something for everyone!. And jeez did we bump into an enormous United Nations Of Benetton crowd from London of all places! And luckily the sexier ones had travelled only! The music was uplifting house on the main floor and very funky – the large bar area looked out to a massive large enough dance floor with a nice raised walkway and seating area to the right hand side – to a raised platform at the far end – with the large DJ booth to the left. So plenty of places to see, be seen, cruise and be cruised as we took up residency overlooking the sexy clubbers. Meeting my friends Dutch mates, I was also introduced to my evening’s stalker – there s a pattern forming here isn’t there!

Upstairs room 2 has a large chill out seating deck overlooking the floor – kinda groovy and the music here changed a lot but grew progressively more techno, but reverted back on DJ changes. The 3rd smaller room played ‘something’ that meant I did a u-turn as I entered! The Dark room was up a most scary narrow steel staircase – certainly not for the timid or those have had a few too many Tequilas! It seemed totally cold dungeon and horrible like and not the sort of place a nice B.itch gets his x out! But again ‘too dark’ and there didn’t seem any hot types bothering with that while the music was still pumping us up below! For such a large club they had tiny toilet facilities – unless we missed some more but I don’t think we did. And it’s there that I notice two massive scratches on my arm – jeez oozing with blood – how the heck??? Had I been bladed? As they were parallel about 2 cms apart? Was that another jealous Belgi-bitch ‘Do you wanna B.itching piece of me?’!

The crowd did start to thin on the main floor about 5am and apart from trying to be picked up by a number of unsuitable types it was a very friendly crowd out to enjoy the fun. So we moved to the smaller but packed 2nd room to party on with some ultra cool and sexy latino guys - being cruised by two at the same time is ultra uplifting :p The one off putting thing was people smoking in the club – we’re pretty sure its banned in Belgium but there was a fair number – although not to the point where it became chokingly unacceptable – maybe they had a good aircon system as the place didn’t overheat. Another thing strange for us UK clubbers is the absence of plastic bottles which means u cant pop a bottle in your back pocket while you dance as easily as a screw top one – but its admirable the more conservation minded Belgiums and maybe one that waste producing Britons should take note off, however it resulting in many more smashes on the dance floor and around – so a little hazardous.

It was closer to 8am when a cute Belgium couple we’d been dancing with were heading back to their hotel, lots of local hotels do ‘La Demence Specials’ with late check out, but it was more of a mĂ©nage a trios special that I was being invited to that last in my memory – oh that big mirror made it look even better! :P There are saunas close by as well - one with a very cute blonde receptionist so I’m told ;-) Taking a stroll back to my hotel on Saturday afternoon, wishing my new party friends a bon voyage, I took in the quaint fairytale architecture of old Brussels and thought this a place to view again one day and although La Demence is a big shabby around the edges, the music and international very mixed crowd certainly make it up to be a very sexy party and well worth a trip from UK.
