Amsterdam based Artlaunch Foundation has joined forces with the SO36 to
bring the Amsterdam Gay & Lesbian Underground Music Clubscene to Berlin, a
few days before Berlin will be flooded with world cup football mania.
Electric Xchange brings together DJs, VJs and performers from both Berlin
and Amsterdam at this famous Berlin venue.
Artlaunch organises underground dance party's and electronic music nights
in Amsterdam since 2001. They work closely with other organisers like the
famous underground club night Spellbound and the new electronic music
playground Flush It!, to fresh up the Amsterdam gay/lesbian scene and to
promote new styles of music and art in the scene.
Artlaunch organised the successful festival night B-AM (Berlin meets
Amsterdam) in the Melkweg, Amsterdam in 2004 with Performers and DJs form
Berlin like Ipek, Hanno Hinkelbein and Bridge Markland with DJs and acts
from Amsterdam.
This festival was the start of increasing interest for the
Berlin music scene in Amsterdam and now Berlin DJs are regularly playing
at Artlaunch party's in Amsterdam like Prosumer (Panoramabar), Boris
(Careless), Tama Sumo and Dana (SO36).
SO36 has a long tradition in gay/lesbian Berlin. They were threw host of
the legendary Electric Ballroom party's on Mondays. After the closing of
Electric Ballroom" the new weekly "Kurzurlaub - Electronic Entertainment"
and Electric Xchange will make SO36 the place to be for electronic music
in Berlin again.
