Its treu: get in after 2,30 in the morning. Get free tickets at Dittrich. Maybe something strange to say: there is NO TOILETPAPER at the toilet!!

For the rest.. A lot of handsome prostitution guys (mostly brazilian). So dont bother them, when they are working. You have to pay for them.

Get to the Bingo (After 8 years its time to do it in two languages, Diva's from Metro). And go to campy other Dragshows at metro. Its all in Spanish, but lauch,,, thats what the other mostly Spanish people also do while the host is making stupid jokes!

For a tourist, you must have been here. Else you dont know one of the hottest places in Barcelona

I think its an nice enough place,though not if you really need to score rightaway-Cuz it's not so busy,but then I have only been there during the week and in the afternoons.

There are lockers to make that happen. In the club a bar on the mail floor for drinks, but the action is on the second floor with cubicles, slings, and "beds". There are WS areas and clean up and out facilities. The guys are hot and ready to play.

Atame is more lively than both other bars, and the crowd seemed to be more energetic. Good drinks, cute bartenders, fun music and a nice overall atomosphere. It is what a small bar should be -- nice looking clientele, well lit, reasonably priced cocktails.

There is an area toward the rear that had a pool table or something like that... but by the time you get back that far, you have probably met someone (both locals and tourists) who will sufficiently distract you from playing. It's a nice space, best to arrive before you set out for other clubs such as Metro, D-boy, or the Arenas (Madre or Classic).

Definately worth a stop. Don't forget to pick up the various invitations and guides near the front door.

It is reminiscent of Woody's in Toronto or JRs in Washington, DC. It has exposed brick, red lit paintings and artwork (of famous actors) on the walls, a central bar, and plenty of seating in the rear, with a small stage. There is an inner outdoor area (more like a court) with lighted trees for accent... a nice touch. All in all, it's a nice space.

However, there is no one there! It seems as though the fire has gone from the place and that it's best days have passed... at least, that's what the bartenders there say. I heard that most of the crowd has moved on to other bars, and other cities (such as Prague). That's a shame because like Woody's and JRs, or even The Abbey in West Hollywood, Dietrich feels like a neighborhood bar that would be supported by the community due to its location and style. I hope it turns around.

The music played is of a disco type. It was actually pretty good, but there was no dancing, and certainly nothing more entertaining going on. It was filled with tourists who just wanted to sit and chat, but not mix and meet.

The drinks were not particularly expensive and the bartenders seemed to know what they were doing (not a guarantee these days), so Dietrich is good for a quick cocktail and as a meeting place for planning which OTHER bars you are going to. Don't forget to get passes to other clubs, such as Metro or D-Boy.

Like many bars in Barcelona, it is not very wide but goes back pretty far with a bar on the right just a couple of meters after you walk in the door. There is a side room with small couches and benches for lounging and a more private conversation (but it is not a darkroom or anything of the sort, just a small area off the main bar section). Unfortunately, it has garrish wallpaper that looks like a psychopath selected it. Perhaps it will change some day soon.

The bar is small, averagely stocked, and the drinks are not exactly cheap. A small cocktail is the equivalent of $8 or $9USD. The crowd is mixed with women and men. On my visit, it was an attractive crowd of 20-30 year olds, enjoying music that was loud enough to hear but not so loud you couldn't have a conversation.

It is in a great location so you can easily get to other bars next door or in the area (such as Arena, Dietrich next door, Atame, etc.).

Don't forget to get your free passes to Metro from the bartender.

It has one of the largest darkroom areas around. It's a REAL Eagle, but Barcelona style. 12EUR will get you in and a free drink. There is a video room upstairs with chairs, a small bar, and behind it is a chainlink fence leading to the vast darkroom. There are small sections and hideaways in the darkroom area. Be careful, there are those who will love to empty your pockets while you are having fun, so don't take anything of value or hold it tightly.

Downstairs on the main level there is a mini-dancefloor. Unfortunately, on my visit it was filled with obnoxious and loud women. Lesbians or not, they were giggly and stupid.

The music is pretty good. It is a mixture of house, tech-house, progressive and general pop remixes. I enjoyed it (over the screams of drunken girls).

If you are looking for big bear/Levi type guys that would normally frequent an Eagle in New York, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, or Washington, Martins is the place to go.

It is small in comparison to a place like D-Boy and about the same size as Arena Madre, a few blocks away. You get the felling you are deep underground because you are. It has a cavern feeling with exposed brick and arches separating the various small spaces. The backroom is a smoker's paradise. Go in ONLY if your lungs can take it, as most Spaniards can.

The music is a wide mixture which again can be good or bad. One minute American pop music, then house, then techno, then spanish, then 80s... It is consistently inconsistent.

Some hot boys from all over. Knowing spanish is helpful but not required. The crowd here does everything late, so getting there before 1 a.m. will find yourself alone with the cleaning and prep crew. Best to go at 2 a.m., even for this small space at a time that others would meet friends THEN go to the main club of the night. Ah, the Spanish.

The drinks are basic, but be certain to know the local lingo. They just don't know a lot of different combinations (or the various names) for many drinks. You may just have to point to what you want mixed.

The darkroom is smelly but does the trick. It is entered by going into the bathroom area and, instead of going to the right for boys, or left for girls, go straight and it will lead you through a zig-zag of hands, baskets, and an occasional bump against the back of someones head as you pass by. No worries.

There is a rear bar where there was pool or something going on but it is secluded a bit and less populated. Pay your 15EURO, head to the rear bar to get your drink and have a good time.
