Sonkran Thai New Year

The celebration of the Thai New Year is the Sonkran water festival. It takes place in April which is the hottest month of the year. The people make each other wet, and not in a subtle way. Many people are armed with large super soakers. Another tradition is to smear some sort of clay in peoples neck. The festival is really fun, and lasts 3 days.

During Sokran there is also the Sokran circuit festival, with very large gay dance parties every day. Attracting many guys from Asia and rest of the world.
