I really like this Bar, great Darkroom, nice Bar, Good Prices, cool People and very nice friendly Bardender . The wednesday is always coolwhen the sexy French Guy is doping the Lottery.

This bar is dirty and decorated like in the 70's, it seems like the time stopped and they don't make any effort to improve the place. Bar is barely clean, lighting is very poor, they simply do not replaces bulbs, lot of smell of smoke.A few times during my holiday I noticed that staff go for a cigarette and then they serve you without washing their hands and this didn't happen only once. Twice during the same week the bar staff behind the bar was dinking spirits all day and by 6pm he was drunk. Not safe and not pretty to look at!:-(

my favourite bar in amsterdam, best bear prices and it looks like they have a good line up for the get ruff weekend. After the great time I had last year I will be there for sure for their After Party, it was the best great crowd. My favourite thing is that whatever special events thye have even for Leather Pride etc they never charge an entrance fee and they still have live DJ's dont know how they do it but its great if your a customer

OMG! been there for about 45 min.The bartender was complaining nonstop! He also was playing and cuddling with a dog, letting him lick him everywhere. Then he filled up a glass with ice by hand without even washing them.
When I got out I had to recover like 5 minutes from all the negative energy the guy spreaded. Never go there again.

I regularly go to the web - had some of the best sex I have had in Amsterdam in this place. Gets an interesting mix of men - good place to go if you are horny early evening. Great sling room.

@ManMachine: I can imagine and appreciate that you stand up for your employer, however you write that you don't go upstairs but as a former regular customer I did and I experienced differently. Maybe the tissue holders are replenished everyday at opening, but they were always empty when I got there, late afternoon/early evening/late evening. As for the hooks: how about considering METAL hooks instead of plastic ones? And repairing dimming lights? And of course I don't expect a sterile environment but how about cleaning up at regular times? Once again, a complete lack of appreciation towards the customers.

@ Mikael: I thought I would respond to your review and let you in on a few things... The tissue holders in the cabins are always replenished everyday when the bar opens. I am not sure about the dimming lights as I rarely go upstairs but I could check into that. As for the hooks imagine two tough guys fucking and trying to basically hang from those hooks. i know for a fact that the owner keeps fixing those himself. And as far as the"unkind lunatic" bartender with the mustache... he is no longer there.

I really dont understand where these positive comments come from. The tissue holders in the cabins are always empty, dimming lights are broken in some (so its completely dark or light as day), hooks for clothing are broken so you have to place your clothes/bags on the floor which is dirty and dangerous (since under the walls there is a space of 20 cm...) a complete lack of interest towards the customers. And surely, the bar part is nice and staff is kind however the one with the moustache is a complete unkind lunatic. I dont go there anymore. Rating: 3

I dj at the amazing bar and I also helped in having the afterparty here and I have to say to everyone who showed up... THANK YOU. The place was packed and the energy reminiscent of the "old" days. The Web is still one of the only places in Amsterdam where a person can feel comfortable and this was apparent this whole weekend. With the Black Party and Ladz people all coming together after their events, it showed me that Amsterdam still holds to being the gay capital of Europe. A big THANK YOU to Dj Max, who played an AMAZING set, to the owner Ray for still GIVING back to the gay community a wonderful place to congregate for 19 years and to the staff of The Web for muscling thru into the wee hours to provide excellent service and fun energy.

I went to the web to the black weekend after party. I really enjoyed it, good atmosphere and dj played great music. I hope there will be more events like that in the web, however it is a shame you have to dance around the bar as there is no dance floor.

It is really the best cruise bar in town. Beer reasonably priced, mostly clean and there is always a nice crowd around.

Probably one of the better leather bars in town. Recently renovated dark room. Reasonable beer prices and it does tend to get soem early evening trade, even in the week. Go here from cocktail hour until about midnight at weekends for the busiest times before moving over to the Warmoestraat.

There on Wednesday nite and place was quiet but some real hot guys around....got sucked off by a dutch guy in his 20's with a muscle hard body and mouth you could fuc for ever.....love to meet him again....place is clean and friendly

since it has been facelifted the s*x area is much cleaner , convenient, less smelly and attracts more people around 30!!!! that's a change with lots of other places where the 50something is the rule! staff very friendly and drink price OK

To the Web OWNERS..... open up some accomodation up on site. You have possibly the BEST cruise,pick up bar in the WORLD. I TRULY, TRULY, TRULY could live here.

The Web has always been one of the friendliest bars in town. And they're not afraid of putting some money back into the bar by refurbishing it, putting on events, offering free snacks, etc. So this bar is worth your custom! Do cross the Damrak, and spend your Euros here.
