This year, along with the celebratory activities, the diverse program of the Amsterdam Gay Pride offers a moment of reflection. Grab your shoes or high heels from the closet and lace them up tight, because we are going “On The Move” and we want you by our sides!
The Homomonument foundation and ProGay foundation are organizing the Tears of Pride Walk to the Homomonument on August 2, 2012 with a manifestation at Mercatorplein (West) beforehand.
The manifestation and walk will focus on homophobia in general and anti-gay violence in particular. Any friend of the LGBTQ-community is invited to take part.
What is going to happen?
• 16:00: start manifestation at Mercatorplein (West)
• 18:00: start Tears of Pride Walk, to the Gay Monument
• 19:30: arrival at Gay Monument and speeches
• 20:00: official kick-off of outdoor parties Amsterdam Gay Pride
