The owner of the once lucrative Thermos Empire, seems determined to destroy his business. The better venue was situated on the Kerkstraat, a street with many gay businesses. The Kerkstraat Thermos was better because of its layout of cabins and two darkrooms, one larger and more atmospheric, it was also apparent to any Sauna fan that this sister venue was far more popular. Of a night the Day sauna is now empty, people have left in their droves. The owner may argue this is due to a change in times, where the internet rules and money is tight. How ever many country’s have hard economic times, yet saunas are still popular. The owner needs to look at his business decisions and treat his visitors like kings rather than victims and make some changes to pull his business back in line and most of recapture the atmospheric horny environment his night sauna once provided. It was always the case, both venues had there fans, the Day one was always more sober health club environment…..but Amsterdam is missing its horny bathhouse

I give it one star since you can't give it a negative star .. prices went up to 11 euros for upstairs and that for an unfriendly attitude when you want to pay ..even the vending machine increased in price by 25% and it's still the same shit hole and very dirty there.. The clientel seems to have changed in the last months and has gotten even older 60+ and rarely do you see something young and fresh.. and if it's young it's prosituting themselves or is completey stoned .. also many complaints about people catching syphilis and god knows what else..suprised the health department hasn't insisted they put up a sign... no wonder hardly anyone nice guys go there anymore and if someone does they will leave smelling like an ash tray and very ripped off.

Just been there recently. Really not so hot place. Some staff members and bouncers are simply rude. They should do much more for the money the charge.

Onderstaande was correct, tijdens de opening hebben wij deze meneer gesproken en direct de volgende dag actie ondernomen en de hoeveelheid Bass beneden gereduceerd zodat het probleem verholpen was. Dank voor de tip!

How rude can you be treats? The bartender (turk) first goes outside to smoke a cigarette and let all his customers are waiting! And then you can get a big mouth.

Last night on friday we went to PURE hosted bij DJRW (who is great by the way :-) ... Powerful beats, progressive techno mixed with some vocals ... great stuff! The place was quiet unfortunately, Club Fuxx deserves a bigger crowd, with parties like PURE i am sure they will gain popularity quickly. I must say i loved the guys at the door and behind the bar ... Cute with a little bit of an attitute :-)

Thermos sauna, the most depressing atmosphere, it hasnt been upgraded for 25 years or so, looks dirty, and old fashioned, a shame for amsterdam and its gay community. The staff has got no class aswell the sauna , full of kitchy stuff. No wonder that that are not many nice guys go there , if you have style this joint makes you puke. the entree fee of 20 euro is way overpriced, you get two towel wich are thin like toiletpaper. the music is everywhere and choice of the staff , its cheap disco and dutch songs, not horny at all. the staff is not open for any complains.It is so easy to restyle this sauna and think of playing music wich is not making ya getting a soft one . Amsterdam has got a lot of good stylist and interiour decorators, the can make a good plan for the years to come , and be proud of the sauna , instead of being ashamed. Dont go to the Thermos, its cheap teasteless, dirty , bad taste of music and unfriendly staff.Iemand met maar een greintje smaak gaat hier leiver niet naar toe dat blijkt ook uit de clientele , natuurlijk af en toe een verdwaalde toerist. Wat een verlopen kitchtent, 25 jaar niets aan gedaan en dat is te zien , niet meer van deze ijd , een schande .Er zijn hele mooie saunas , die wel geil zijn en met smaak zijn ingericht , dit is een ordinaire tent waar de goedkope muziek te hard staat. Je krijgt er een slappe van . 20 euro dat is pas zonde van het geld. Ik ga liever naar de coockoocs nest drink daar een biertje en dan heb ik in de darkroom meer plezier en geiler dan hier. Een gemistte kans voor de eigenaar , maar het is duidelijk dat die er niet om geeft. huur een goed stylist en binnenhuis architect in en maak er wat van en laat amsterdam weer eens trots zijn op de sauna .investeer!!!!!!goud, koper , rookspiegels, david beelden, etalagepoppen , nepbloemen, bruintinten, plastic schroten,kapotte zeepbakjes,corry konings , luv, zangeres zonder naam , brrrrr doodeng
