Still the best party in Amsterdam. But...overpriced and after several great years on it's way back. Funhouse, also by Rapido Events, is ready to take over!

Due to New Year Party started at 5PM and I liked the fact. I was in a good mood when i arrived round about 8PM. I had to rush 'cause i didn't want to miss the moment when Peter Rauhofer took the stage. It became 9,10,11.... Nothing happened. Still Fabio White on Stage. I have nothing against him, quite the contrary. I heard him a few times before and i liked his sets. But this evening it didn't work out. No special moments in his music what you are used to. Sorry to say that but very forgettable. It was like listening to 1-never-ending track. I asked my friends if we didn't hear it before? They agreed and we all thought it's time for a change. We started making jokes that he might miss the plane or the Diva is powdering his nose. Bored of the repeat mode we decided taking a break in the entrée. Look there! A time schedule concerning the DJ's. Peter Rauhofer was supposed to play at 11pm. No further information - so we reentered the dance hall and thought it's a matter of time. When i looked up to the stage, i could not believe what i saw. Jack Chang was standing behind Fabio White and was trying to help him out with his CD's. Our first impression was confirmed. He came with his prepared set list, enough to play for 2-3 hours but no backup. His facial expression was telling everything and someone had to release him of this miserable situation. I am very disappointed by his performance. A professional DJ has to prepared for situation like this. I have no words!Later on it was time for Jack Chang. Showtime. Now it was obvious that Peter Rauhofer won't come. Mainact of the evening - NO SHOW. Meanwhile some people said that Rauhofer didn't show up and that he is not answering his phone. I don't know the reason but it is disrespectful that he don't need the feel to apologize or to explain. But even Rapido didn't inform the crowd. The organizer could have at leased informed the people with a printout. But Nothing! And i'm sure we won't get to know why he didn't appear or what happened. In the hope that people forget...I know that many dutch people don't care who plays or didn't even recognize that Rauhofer didn't show up - as long as enough men show up. But there a few people who care! Jack Chang has a few nice sets in his podcast which i liked before.I think he has the capability beeing a good DJ even he couldn't show it on this evening. Very commercial music and old mixes. I like vocals but you don't need to hear it in every song. Nice Job but not marvelous. Common' guys hearing Kesha's TikTok at a Circuit Party? Not the right place. Nevertheless he saved the Party from a disaster!

I was there, and found the party to be fun and sexy. There were lots of good looking guys and the music was amazing. Ok - it was not full - but there were still few hundreds people so I had my fun (not with all of them but some :) - definitely looking forward for the next party. I am sure it will be much busier :)

I went also but i know the first time is always hard to get a full party in Amsterdam.Im glad that there are people in Amsterdam organize party s . People here always complain . Why dont they just go to the owner of the party and tell them what can be better next time instead of crashing the party on the net. Im sure that they will improve the next party and try to make it better everytime.I think it was good organized even i heard people had trouble with the door policy , but what i heard that will be better the next time .Yeah it was not busy ,it was also beginning of January and thats a hard start for a party but i think that the people have to give this more a chance and im sure it can be a very good dance and even sex party. Im sure i will give it a try again and get Amsterdam as a gay city on the map again.

Just a month to go....Matinee again. This party rocks. Always a good good vibe. I like iT. And please...No more negative experience-posts. Matinee got the real vibe. I would say: Come and feel it :-)

In the end it's every persons own responsibility to use condoms! There are not many venues like Church who distribute condoms the way they do. There are everywhere you look. It might seem that there is a lot of barebacking going on but I suppose if you turned the lights on in every venue with darkroom or open doors in any sauna you would experience exactly the same or probably worse...

Although the no-show from guest DJ-Peter Rauhofer, Rapido NY last time i found still considerably good, thanks to DJ Fabio White who saved the night! However, I was a bit upset the fact the DJ Jack Chang changed Fabio and played all the top 40 remix shit! I really didn't expect Rapido would play such commercial remix songs non-stop, from 1am till 5am. I could tolerate once or twice. But the whole time? especially at sometime that night i heard, "Johnny, la gente es ta muy loca" ... WTF!! Then i just walked away and went to the after :-\

Thanks for your feedback, of course we're very unhappy to hear that you saw so much barebacking. We have free condoms throughout the venue and are very clear about our safe sex policy but a lot of guys seem to ignore it. Probably stricter controlling in the darkrooms is the only thing that will help, though many guys will feel this is an intrusion on their privacy. Suggestions welcome- Richard, Club Church

comparing apples with brocolli....we all know time changes immensily and what was top in the past can be shitty now a days.....we used to dance often at CR in the 90�s having a great time, well we all know what happened, changes of owner, attitudes, drugs, more drugs etc. etc. and now 20 yrs. later the Fuxxx....we would give it time to become it�s own thing, but have to admit; it�s a gayvenue, so wtf this doorthing with women and especially unfriendly staff...we all need to work for our money, but if granting guests to have a great time is too much, you should not work or e.g employ people for a gaybar at all. [YES we do tipp only if we had a good time and if there's reasons to do so, so guess bad mouthing because you didn't get any extra euro, makes it your problem]

first of all i personally dont understand people who complain about the ticket price but still happy to go and pay for it. if you dont like the price simply dont go.i had a good time at sandwich. think it had a nice crowd for an opening night. people were relaxed and up for fun. music was groovy and uplifting. little adjustment to the limiters or whatever crappy device roses runs the sound thru would be good.one more thing but this seems to be problem of all the amsterdam gay venues - you bar people, you are there to serve customers. you are at work. you are paid to serve drinks, not attitude.i sure go to the next one, simply because the dj line up is worth it.

The first night was disappointing, too few people, and for 20 euros. The music and DJ were good, though. The play area was big and nice, but empty because too few people. And this for 20 euros... at some point we left and went to Church, where we had much more fun.

I just attended the Zonderbroek night at Club Church, which is basically an underwear cruise night. The guys were seriously hot, between 20 and 35 I think, with a few outside of that, and the amount of sex was unbelievable. However, I am totally shocked by the barebacking that I witnessed. It was uncanny, there was so much barebacking that I couldn't believe my eyes (I was not drinking, either). I would have expected more use of condoms (which were freely available). This is truly depressing, and I'm not referring to oral sex, but full anal sex without condoms. Perhaps there is something we all can do -- I feel terrible for 20 somethings who think this might be the way to go. Otherwise, friendly staff, helpful and a fun experience..crazy, but fun.

Went to first night. 20 euros to get in - this is more expensive than most mega clubs in New York, Paris or London and on top of it the place was only about 20% full. Tried to console myself with alcohol only to find that the glasses of beer (reasonably priced at 2.50 euros) were mini glasses, more foam than beer. The place seems to be run by the same guys as Furball. Furball is bigger and much more reasonably prices and has the same clientele.Avoid unless you've money to burn and nothing better to do with your time.

It was my first time in a sauna. I had read all the negative reviews but decided to go anyway, having no big expectations. I had a great time there, it was Wednesday afternoon and there were many more men than I expected.It's true that 50% were 50 but most of them were in a very decent shape. Never had seen so many big cocks in such short time. There were also younger guys and all sort of nationalities but most men were mainly Dutch.The place was clean, no odors of any kind. The moanings in the cabines area were just a big turn on. I would certainly come back.

Clean, there were few nice guys, not many but it was ok, most of client had more then 50 y o, but there were some young and good looking guys as well. The staff is not rude, and quite funny and kind! the entrance is little bit expensive, but its ok, you should pay the entrance and about 20€ for consummation reserve.
